Ingredients

  • 300 gchicken breast fillets
  • 2 piècestortillas
  • 100 glettuce
  • 2 piècestomatoes
  • 1 piècered onion
  • 50 ggrated cheese
  • 3 cuillères à soupemayonnaise sauce
  • 1 cuillère à soupemustard
  • 1 cuillère à soupeolive oil
  • 1 pincéesalt and pepper

Instructions

  1. 1PREPARE THE CHICKEN: Cut the chicken breast fillets into regular strips approximately 1 cm thick. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken for 8 to 10 minutes until golden and cooked through. Season generously with salt and pepper. The chicken should be tender and well-browned. Set aside off the heat.
  2. 2PREPARE THE VEGETABLES: Wash and dry the lettuce, then tear it into small pieces. Cut the tomatoes into regular dice, removing excess seeds to prevent the wrap from becoming too wet. Thinly slice the red onion into half-rounds. Arrange all the vegetables in separate small bowls to make assembly easier.
  3. 3PREPARE THE SAUCE: In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise and mustard together to create a rich and slightly tangy sauce. You can add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. This sauce will be the binder that brings all the wrap flavors together.
  4. 4ASSEMBLE THE WRAPS: Lay a tortilla flat on your work surface. Spread a generous layer of sauce in the center, leaving approximately 2 cm of border on each side to facilitate rolling. Next, layer the lettuce, then the chicken pieces, tomatoes, red onion, and grated cheese in successive layers in the center of the tortilla.
  5. 5ROLL AND FINISH: Fold the two short sides of the tortilla toward the center to secure the fillings, then roll tightly from bottom to top like a scroll. Press firmly as you roll to keep the wrap compact and prevent it from unraveling. You can keep the roll closed with aluminum foil or parchment paper for a few minutes to help it hold together. Repeat with the second tortilla and serve immediately.
